We are seeking an experienced Stores & Operations Officer to join our Westcare team primarily based out of Nedlands. The Stores & Operations Officer is responsible to the Print Production Supervisor for duties associated with the efficient and effective control of all stock on site including the management of inward and outward goods, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. The position also includes overseeing the delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate distribution of products to various locations.

About the Role

Strong relationships need to be maintained with other Westcare staff members to discuss goods and delivery operational issues and to contribute to the overall business of the stores area and transport options. The Stores Officer also has a strong relationship with Westcare’s clients and their staff.

The Stores Officer is responsible for:

Ensure incoming goods and materials are in good condition and accurately recorded

Data entry and administrative duties related to the receipt and issuing of all inventory.

Maintain accurate inventory records.

Implement and maintain a systematic storage system.

Monitor stock levels and alert the Print Production Supervisor if stocks drop below the minimum holding.

Carry out stock takes as directed by the Finance Team.

Ensure the stores area is kept tidy, safe, accessible and the stock and locations are clearly identified.

Make sure that all goods are handled in a safe and efficient manner.

Pick and pack stock items for dispatch ensuring the correct quality and quantity and that they are appropriated packed with correct documentation.

Coordinate the pick-up and dispatch of goods ensuring clients receive their orders are in good condition, in a timely manner and via the appropriate transport service.

Ability to load and unload delivery vehicles.

Prepare the daily delivery drivers’ load and route.

Record and report any discrepancies or damages.

Notify the Print Production Supervisor of any non-conformances, and assist with completing non-conformance documentation, and any identified corrective actions.

Criteria

Essential

A positive and support attitude to working with people with a disability / NDIS participants

Background / experience in stores or warehousing.

Computer literacy

Good communication skills

Ability to work without supervision

Excellent time management skills and well organised

Desirable

Certificate III in Warehousing or equivalent
