Your Opportunity

Mission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians ensuring they have access to good quality housing that enables people to participate in their communities.

This role will be responsible for managing housing assets, ensuring maintenance excellence, and driving operational efficiency across two locations. This role will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement asset management strategies that enhance the quality of housing facilities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety and sustainability of housing assets
  • Proactively manage all contracts ensuring high performance
  • Undertake and review site inspections to approve scope of work
  • Conduct systematic audits to ensure compliance with contract, WHS, quality and code of conduct requirements
  • Develop and contribute to a range of reports to facilitate effective asset management planning and reporting
  • Identify risks and develop and implement risk management strategies and monitor project progress
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders for constructive working relationships
  • Manage informal and formal appeals and complaints and contribute to implementing strategies where a need is identified
  • Work within the framework of integrated service delivery

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualifications with demonstrated knowledge of property and asset management
  • Knowledge of social housing and Residential Tenancy Act would be preferred
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills with effective management capabilities
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative experience and interpersonal skills
  • Drivers licence with no restrictions
