THE OPPORTUNITY
Salary: $66,921 - $72,661 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.4 EFT.
Location: Glen Waverley and Moorabbin campuses.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Ongoing contract of appointment, with a 6-month qualifying period.
The Student Life Officer plays a vital role in enriching the student experience by designing and implementing diverse events, interactive activities, and trips that foster a strong sense of community and engagement. Collaborating with teaching, engagement, and support departments, the role ensures student - centred programs complement academic life.
Additionally, the position drives student voice initiatives, expanding partnership programs to empower learners in shaping their educational journey. Working alongside the Student Communications team, the role contributes to the promotion of student activities, ensuring broad participation. ABOUT YOU
- Strong understanding of the student lifecycle, with experience in fostering a sense of community and belonging in a diverse educational environment.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver events, activities, or projects, ensuring smooth execution while managing risks and logistics.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and stakeholders professionally and effectively.
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Initiative to work independently or in a team, with a problem-solving mindset and creative approach to challenges.
- Competence in using MS Office, databases, and social media to enhance student engagement and communication.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in student support, events, communications, or administration, along with a valid driver’s licence.
