About the role

This is an exciting full-time Dispensary Technician role at Piggotts Pharmacy Hamilton.

As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to the pharmacists in the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and dispense medications according to pharmacists' instructions, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Maintain comprehensive records of all dispensed medications
• Assist with the management of pharmacy stock, including ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies
• Provide excellent customer service by answering patient enquiries and addressing their needs
• Collaborate with the pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Adhere to all relevant pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Community Pharmacy or equivalent qualifications are preferred but not essential
• Previous experience as a Dispensary Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy or healthcare setting
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Proficiency in using FRED dispensing software and computer systems will be highly regarded
