About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team at Wollongong Pet and Nuclear Imaging in Wollongong, NSW. As a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans, SPECT scans, diagnostic CT and other diagnostic imaging tests
  • Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients in a safe and ethical manner
  • Ensuring accurate patient positioning and image acquisition
  • Monitoring patients during procedures and responding to any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, following all relevant health and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with the medical team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in nuclear medicine (AHPRA accredited)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, procedures, and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the medical team
  • Proficiency in using medical imaging software and equipment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field
