The Opportunity

Amberlee Holiday Homes and Accommodation is a well-established, family-friendly holiday park on the stunning Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Groundsperson to help maintain our beautiful park, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. If you love working outdoors and take pride in well-maintained gardens and facilities, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

As a highly valued member of our Grounds and Maintenance team, you will:

  • Maintain the gardens, lawns, and communal areas to a high standard.
  • Conduct general repairs, landscaping, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, blowers, brushcutters and irrigation systems.
  • Assist with waste management, ensuring the park remains clean, tidy and well-presented at all times.
  • Support the team with occasional facility maintenance.

  • 6-month, fixed-term contract may be extended to a permanent position for the right person.
  • Full-Time availability is preferred but Part –time may be considered. We understand the needs of our team and are open to discussions around flexible working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to develop and expand your skills in groundskeeping and maintenance with training provided on the job.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Have a high attention to detail and enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in keeping spaces well-maintained.
  • Have good communication skills; ability to interact with guests and colleagues professionally.
  • Be comfortable using gardening and maintenance tools and machinery.
  • Have a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Be proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.

The Essentials

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role.
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely perform the duties of the role including the ability to lift up to 25kgs, stand for extended periods and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely.
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence - MR Licence preferred.
  • First Aid Certificate - or willingness to obtain.
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket – preferred.
  • Chemical Handling Certificate – preferred.
  • Working with Children Check – or willingness to obtain.
  • Chainsaw operations certification – preferred.
  • Basic plumbing knowledge – preferred.
