We are seeking an experienced MR (Medium Rigid) Driver/dispatch/assembly worker to join the expanding team. This a full time permanent position Monday – Friday.

Based in Meadowbrook, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the Brisbane and Logan regions.

In addition to driving, the successful candidate would assist in the dispatch/assembly area. Interesting and varied work duties would include picking, QA checking, packing goods, paperwork, forklift driving, assembly of components, using hand and power tools.

If you are a skilled driver with a solid understanding of dispatch processes, computer literate, possess a keen eye for attention to detail, mechanically minded assisting assembly staff with the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Transport of Goods:
Drive a Medium Rigid (MR) truck to transport goods to various locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with road regulations.

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any potential issues and ensure the truck is in optimal condition for each journey.

Route Planning & Navigation:
Plan and follow the most efficient routes, adjusting for traffic, weather conditions, or other obstacles to ensure timely deliveries.

Customer Service:
Represent the company with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive customer experience during deliveries.

Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies. Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle defects to the Operations Manager.

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete all required paperwork, and report on the status of deliveries or any issues encountered along the way.

Essential Requirements:

MR Driver’s License (Medium Rigid) and Forklift Licence

Proven experience as an MR driver with a clean driving record

Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transport compliance securing loads

Excellent time-management and route-planning skills

Dispatch process knowledge, QA/pick/pack/paperwork experience

Mechanical skills, assembly skills, power/hand tool use.

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and the team

Good physical fitness for assembly/loading and unloading when required

Ability to work independently and take initiative
