NSW Government Agency is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Parramatta. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for effectively and efficiently monitoring and advising on construction costs issues at project and program level. The Quantity Surveyor provides
support to the Development team(s) and other inter-dependent functional areas of the division to ensure projects, sourced costing and the work undertaken by business partners, are cost effective, of high quality and represent value for money.

The Role:

• Lead the continuous improvement of quantity surveying processes and behaviours within Major Program Delivery to consistently deliver efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide quantity surveying services and / or advise on ad-hoc construction projects such as contract negotiations, cash flows, procurement, cost reporting, evaluation of variations, valuations, final account reporting and processing of claims.
• Provide support to the PMO to inform the development and implementation of processes, procedures, guidelines and templates related to the quantity surveying discipline.
• Contribute to the process of establishing value engineering and investment analysis processes and procedures to ensure that projects meet their scope and deliverable objectives at the best possible operational cost.
• Provide guidance, support, and advice to key stakeholders in developing project budgets at project inception stage in order to drive a high level of accuracy and completeness on approved budgets.

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or equivalent appropriate industry experience
• Extensive experience required in a quantity surveying
• Strong communication, report writing and stakeholder engagement skills
