About the role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker for our participants in South East Melbourne, North Melbourne and surrounding areas for active and in-active night shifts
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing in home support and community participation to our NDIS participants. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, medical care, household tasks and community access.
Key responsibilities:
Provide direct care to participants
Administer medication
Assist with mobility aids, transfers and repositioning
Full assistance with personal and medical care
Support participant in achieving their goals
Provide true and authentic companionship to the participant
Household tasks and meal preparation
Skill development activities with the participants
Support participants with community access and social activities
Skills and experience:
NDIS Workers Screening Check (NDISWSC)
Administration of medication certificate
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a car
Certificate III Individual Support / Community Services or Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience
Experience in a health care facility or community environment
