We are currently looking for suitable applicants for the following positions: Cooks, Chefs and Restaurant/Event Managers.
The positions on offer are for full-time permanent contract, with wages varying from AU$ 73,200 – AU$ 90,000 plus super depending on skills and experience.
Minimum skills requirements are as follows:
Cooks
- Cert III plus 2 years of work experience, or 3 years of work experience in lieu of qualification;
Chefs
- Cert IV or Diploma plus 2 years of work experience, or 3 years of work experience in lieu of qualification
These roles (cook / chef) will involve (but will not be limited to)
• preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and marinating food
• cooking and serving food, while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff
• maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen
• creating new dishes and planning menus
• ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation
• hiring and training junior chefs
Restaurant/Event Managers
To be a successful in this exciting position we require the following:
- 2-3 years' experience in a floor-based, hands-on guest experience role across restaurant & events including weddings and conferencing
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written
- Excellent eye for detail
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a team
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Conflict management
- Hold a current RSA and clear understanding of related obligations
- A passion for food and beverage
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport (recommended)
- Time management skills
- Experience with staff allocation and rostering
- Excellent personal presentation
- Be a mature, reliable and passionate motivator
- Ability to develop relationships with a wide range of clients and suppliers
- Be highly organised with the ability to think on your feet
- Demonstrate versatility
