About the role
Temporary opportunity to provide clinical expertise and leadership within the CF multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, evidence-based, holistic care to people with cystic fibrosis. Within the thoracic medicine program, the thoracic physician will provide clinical expertise in the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment in both the inpatient and outpatient setting of common respiratory conditions, including bronchiectasis, respiratory infections, asthma, COPD and interstitial lung disease. It is expected that there will be involvement in research projects, in the professional development of registrars and junior medical staff and in the education of medical students. The Thoracic Physician will be expected to participate in the administration of daily clinical activity.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- The Thoracic Physician will be recognised as having specialised knowledge in the fields of Cystic Fibrosis and Thoracic Medicine.
- Support a multidisciplinary team involved in the delivery of clinical activities in the field of Cystic Fibrosis.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care within Cystic Fibrosis and Core Thoracic Medicine
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Meeting for the care of people with Cystic Fibrosis.
