About the role

Tuff Truss & Frames is seeking a highly skilled Senior Detailer (light gauge steel) to join our team in Kingston, Queensland. This full-time role involves providing detailed drawings and specifications to support the production of our high-quality steel frames and trusses.

What you'll be doing

Prepare comprehensive shop drawings and specifications for the manufacture of light gauge steel framing and trusses

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and adhere to industry standards

Provide technical support and guidance to the production team during the manufacturing process

Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in the detailing process

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Senior Detailer (light gauge steel)

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other CAD software for the creation of detailed shop drawings

Strong understanding of light gauge steel framing systems, including design principles, manufacturing processes, and industry standards

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure designs meet project requirements

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively communicate with cross-functional stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is highly desirable
