Our government client is currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented cleaners to join their team at an education facility. These roles are essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. The locations are between Bruce, Reid, and predominantly Woden.

About the role
We have multiple roles available, including day shift, night shift, and supervisor roles. As a cleaner, you will be responsible for a range of general cleaning duties, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for relevant stakeholders. As a supervisor, you would be overseeing daily cleaning tasks & providing staff supervision & guidance.

Duties

Cleaner

• Responsible for general cleaning activities (e.g. mopping, vacuuming, dusting) in and around the facility
• Selecting and utilising appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals for general cleaning purposes
• Colour coded use of cleaning equipment
• Maintenance of cleaning equipment, and storage rooms
• Maintain stock levels for cleaning equipment and chemicals

Supervisor

• Supervising cleaning teams
• Managing cleaning equipment inventory and supplies
• Inspecting sites for quality of work
• Assist in the provision of on-the-job training
• Undertake general and specialised cleaning duties as required
• Work with limited supervision and guidance

About you

• Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check required
• Drivers license
• Ability to pass a police check
• Strong attention to detail
• Responsible for the quality of your own work under routine supervision
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of commercial cleaning, preferably in an educational environment
