Eastern Suburbs Private Hospital is a 38-bed rehabilitation hospital with a large outpatient department as well. Our hospital delivers a range of inpatient and day program services and access to allied health services. The standard caseload will be made up of Orthopaedic, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology and General Reconditioning patients.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Physiotherapist to work in our outpatient day rehab team and deliver high quality physiotherapy services. We take pride in providing high-quality patient centred care, therefore to fill this role you must be dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. This position is a 1-year contract at 32 hours per week Monday - Friday. The start date is 17/04/2025, this is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

Work and liaise with a multidisciplinary team regarding patient care and therapy in the allied health department

Provision of high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services in both hydrotherapy and gym-based rehabilitation

Completing initial assessments and developing exercise and physiotherapy plans for the outpatient population

Running condition specific groups such as Cardiac, Oncology and Pulmonary rehab

Liaising with referring Doctors and Specialists regarding patient treatment and progression

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Physiotherapy department at Eastern Suburbs Private Hospital

Ensuring the reputation of excellence is maintained to the highest standard

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Current Registration with AHPRA.

1+ years’ experience working in an outpatient hospital rehabilitation service

Clinical skills across a range of neurological, cardiac, geriatric and orthopaedic rehabilitation

Demonstration of effective multidisciplinary teamwork

Demonstrated excellent time management and self-organisational skills

Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated commitment to quality activities
