About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Green Wave Accountants, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive accounting and advisory services to our clients. You will ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax regulations while preparing financial statements, tax returns, and providing expert financial advice.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns in compliance with Australian reporting and legislative requirements.

Manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery.

Provide tax planning and compliance advice for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts, including BAS.

Assist clients with business advisory services including budgeting and financial analysis.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering tailored solutions and sound financial advice.

Keep updated with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, advising clients as necessary.

Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of client service delivery.

What we're looking for

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience

Extensive experience in providing accounting and advisory services to small to medium-sized businesses, in a professional services firm environment

Excellent technical accounting and taxation knowledge, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide commercially-focused business advice

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency in Xero (XPM) and familiarity with other accounting software such as MYOB, BGL.

A high level of detail orientation and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
