About the opportunity
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for learning and wellbeing that align with the Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) Leadership Framework, BCE Education Strategy, BCE Strategic Plan, and the College's vision and mission.
- Lead initiatives that promote the College's values of Joy, Courage, and Love, ensuring these principles are embedded in all aspects of school life.
- Collaborate with the College leadership team to set and achieve academic and wellbeing goals.
Curriculum and Pedagogy:
- Oversee the development and delivery of a rigorous and inclusive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
- Promote innovative teaching practices that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Ensure the integration of wellbeing programs within the curriculum to support students' social, emotional, and spiritual development.
Student Wellbeing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing programs that address the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
- Foster a safe and supportive school environment where every student feels valued and respected.
- Provide leadership in the development of policies and practices that promote positive student behaviour and resilience.
Staff Development and Support:
- Lead professional development initiatives that enhance staff capacity in delivering high-quality education and wellbeing support.
- Mentor and support teachers in implementing effective teaching and wellbeing strategies.
- Promote a collaborative and positive staff culture that reflects the College's values.
Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the wider community to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Engage with external agencies and organisations to enhance the College's wellbeing programs and resources.
- Represent the College in various forums and contribute to the broader educational community.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the effective management of resources related to learning and wellbeing, including budgets, facilities, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and wellbeing programs, using data to inform continuous improvement.

About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
- Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
- For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
