Skilled TA - Aluminium Weld & Assembly
Location: Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria

Company Overview: Our client is a leading Australian truck trailer manufacturer in Melbourne's northern suburbs. They seek a Skilled Trades Assistant or Light Vehicle Mechanic to join their team.

The role involves working on various aspects of trailer assembly and basic welding, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic braking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical harnesses, lights, plugs, and sockets on newly built semi-trailers.
• Fit new hydraulic and pneumatic trailer braking systems.
• Install light electrical components on new trailer bodies.
• Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical issues on semi-trailers.
• Basic Welding (Ideally)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Background in automotive or light vehicle mechanics.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
• Understanding of basic hydraulics and pneumatic brake systems (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to learn and follow established procedures and processes.
• Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) practices.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Requirements:

• Provide reference contact details from two previous employers.
• Currently residing in Melbourne, Victoria.
• Have the legal right to work in Australia.
