This highly successful, mid-tier civil contracting business in Perth is flush with live and upcoming underground services, MRWA/local government road projects and various civil and earthworks scopes of work in the metro region. They now have an immediate need for a civil PROJECT MANAGER to join their experienced team on permanent basis in Perth.

About the Role

The successful PROJECT MANAGER will work Mon-Friday in Perth, leading the delivery of a range of civil projects for clients that include Watercorp, Main Roads WA, local councils and various other private clients. Projects will primarily therefore be valued up to $15m and involve road construction, drainage, pipelines, gas & sewer installations, civils and earthworks. As PROJECT MANAGER you will assume full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from both a physical and commercial perspective ensuring keep deliverables are met – time, quality and budget. You will manage the client interface, guide the construction project team, and provide timely forecasting and reports as needed by the company. This role will suit a civil PROJECT MANAGER who has worked for Civil Contractors on $5-10M+ Watercorp/MRWA/Underground services construction projects in the past. The successful PROJECT MANAGER will be offered a superb metro-based remuneration package CIRCA $160-200K Base + Super.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering/Project/Construction Management or similar
• 8+ years’ civil construction experience including time working as PROJECT MANAGER for Civil Contractors in Australia on $5M+ projects
• Previous experience as a PROJECT MANAGER on urban/metro MRWA road/underground services/pipeline construction projects
• Proven financial and commercial project management skills, and strong contractual understanding.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to manage the client interface
• Currently WA/Perth based with existing rights to live and work in Australia
• Available within 4 weeks’ notice period (*maximum)
