The Opportunity

This is your chance to step into a senior expert role within a major federal program.

You’ll lead the delivery and optimisation of network, data centre, and cloud infrastructure nationally.

The Role

You will manage complex infrastructure environments, lead strategic projects, and guide internal teams across data centre, network, and security systems.

You’ll play a hands-on role in technical design and delivery, while providing strategic advice to seniors and mentioning juniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead WAN, LAN, WLAN, firewall and DNS/DHCP environments
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery systems
• Provide expert technical and strategic advice to executives
• Collaborate with internal and external service providers
• Mentor junior engineers and share deep technical expertise
• Implement and monitor patching, performance and security

The Ideal Person

You’re a Senior Infrastructure/Network Engineer who has been working within a complex ICT environment preferably with the public or telecommunications sector.

You will have deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure including data centres, networking, firewalls, and cloud.

You are a team player and comfortable leading change and influencing strategy while mentoring your junior staffs.

You will have strong hands-on experience with F5, Cisco, Palo Alto, Infoblox, BlueCat, DNS/DHCP, VPN, and Email Security.

Salary / Rate

• An hourly rate of $125/hr - $150/hr including Super or Negotiable
• Contract is for 12 months with 2 x 12 months extension options
• Successful applicants will need to have baseline AGSVA security clearance
