Role Description, Licences, and Competencies

Role Description - The Job
We are looking for someone that can decommission residential gas heaters and install new AC systems under the VEU program. Almost all jobs will require both decommissioning and installation. Installers will be required to gather photo evidence of their work as they go; this will be done using an App on their phone. They will be working closely with an electrician experienced in the same sort of installations. The role also requires issuing compliance documentation for each installation.

Competencies
Must be confident and experienced in the following (all in residential settings)

• Disconnecting gas heaters and capping gas lines at the isolation valve
• Where no isolation valve exists, capping gas and pressure testing for gas leaks
• Installing the following types of AC systems (up to 25kw)

o Single-split
o Multi-split
o VRF/VRV
o Ducted

Plumber/HVAC
Personality requirement –You must have a nice personality when at the job site and while you are on site, smile at least 20% of the time.

Drivers Licence - valid with no current suspensions.
Drug free and free from any lingering intoxication during the work week – this is a safety issue as You will be on the road every day and you will most likely climb a ladder every day.

Licence Requirements:
Simply you need to have a VBA Licence with the following abilities

• Refrigerated air-conditioning (intermediate experience)
• Gas fitting
