Intermediate-to-Senior Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing expert cost management and advisory services from feasibility to project completion. Working in a collaborative team, you will contribute to cost planning, procurement strategies, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain within budget and deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and cost plans.
• Conduct lifecycle cost analysis and value engineering assessments.
• Manage tendering processes, including preparing Bills of Quantities and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Provide financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and cost control throughout project lifecycles.
• Offer contractual advice and administer variations, claims, and progress payments.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and key stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and project success.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market rates, and regulatory requirements.

About You:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• MRICS, AIQS, or working towards professional accreditation.
• 3+ years of experience in a PQS consultancy or relevant client-side role.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in cost planning and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Excel, Buildsoft).
• Knowledge of Australian construction regulations and procurement practices.
