About the role

BRT SYSTEMS' is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in a dynamic and growing company. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our clients equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Perform skilled fitting, turning, machining and welding tasks to service, maintain, and repair a variety of industrial equipment

Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete required repairs and modifications

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement appropriate solutions

Operate various hand and power tools, as well as specialized machinery, in a safe and efficient manner

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the timely completion of maintenance and repair projects

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work undertaken

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Fitting, Turning, or a related trade discipline

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Fitter, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Proficient in the use of a range of hand and power tools, as well as specialized machinery

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders

Valid Australian Driver's License
