SEO Specialist (4 day work week) – Lead Organic Growth for a Market Leader & Global Expansion

We’re expanding throughout Australia and launching two new global websites to bring our expertise to a worldwide audience. Our content-driven strategy includes video, articles, and AI-powered tools, and we need a skilled SEO Specialist to drive organic traffic, build domain authority, and scale our success internationally.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimising SEO strategies across our market-leading Australian site and our two new global websites. Working onsite with a small but highly capable team, you’ll ensure our organic presence remains dominant while expanding into new markets.
This is a Monday-Thursday role—enjoy a three-day weekend every week while working in the stunning Varsity Lakes District, a location known for its waterfront lifestyle, vibrant cafés, and outdoor leisure spaces.
Become a Subject Matter Expert
To ensure our content stands out as authoritative and trusted, you will need to develop a deep understanding of hearing technology, OTC hearing aids, and the industry landscape. Your role will involve collaborating with experts, conducting research, and ensuring that all SEO-driven content aligns with our industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute an SEO strategy that drives organic growth, traffic, and conversions.
Identify high-impact content opportunities and support content-driven SEO initiatives.
Monitor, test, and refine SEO strategies to stay ahead of Google’s evolving algorithms.
Content Development & Industry Expertise
Research and learn about the latest advancements in hearing technology and OTC hearing aids.
Work closely with industry experts to create high-authority, well-researched content.
Ensure content aligns with E-E-A-T principles and is medically accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized.
Assist in producing articles, video content, and AI-driven tools to educate and convert customers.
Technical SEO & Site Optimisation
Conduct in-depth SEO audits and resolve technical issues.
Ensure proper implementation of schema markup, canonical tags, hreflang attributes, structured data, and indexing best practices.
Work with developers to enhance site performance, crawlability, and mobile experience.
On-Page SEO & Content Optimisation
Optimise metadata, headings, and internal linking for better rankings and user engagement.
Ensure all content aligns with E-E-A-T principles and search intent.
Work closely with content creators to develop video, AI-driven, and article-based SEO strategies.
Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
Strengthen domain authority through high-quality link-building and outreach strategies.
Perform backlink audits, build relationships for guest posting, and execute digital PR campaigns.
Monitor and manage backlinks to maintain site health.
Competitive & Market Analysis
Research and analyse competitors’ SEO strategies, content performance, and backlink profiles.
Stay ahead of Google updates, AI-driven search trends, and industry best practices.
Reporting, Analytics & Performance Monitoring
Track, analyse, and report on SEO KPIs (organic traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions).
Deliver weekly reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Use SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.

Requirements
✔ 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally with global and eCommerce sites.
Proven ability to scale organic traffic and conversions.
Strong knowledge of content-driven SEO (video, AI tools, long-form articles).
Proficiency in Google Analytics, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
Experience with high-quality link-building and authority development.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
A willingness to learn and become a subject matter expert in hearing technology.
