We are growing! We’re looking for a creative, passionate and small business savvy assistance product developer to join us at Spec to Sample on a casual or part time basis with the opportunity to expand into a full time position for the right candidate.

Based in Seaford, Bayside/Peninsula, we are a leading design and development agency that provides fashion forward support to small to medium fashion businesses worldwide. We design, manufacture, and consult across multiple product categories with our vast range of client portfolios including activewear, swimwear, ladieswear, & kidswear. From design, sampling and finished production we bring our clients vision to life.

Who are we looking for?
With an immense opportunity for career growth in both product development and our office coordinations we are hoping to find someone just as passionate about smaller fashion brands as we are!

The successful candidate will work along side our team and director assisting with development of range plans, techcnical drawings, pulling fabrics, booking shipments and helping keeping our office and clients project running smoothly.

This role is suitable for a variety of candidates depending on your experience and ability to draw technical sketches. You must have a can have a can-do attitude and be confident in your work/skills.

Your day to day in this role will include:

Assist with putting together final range plans and line sheets

Producing technical drawings

Collating Fabric, Trim and Strike off Submissions / Approvals

Coordinating the booking of fit models

Researching and presenting seasonal colour palettes and trends

Assisting in design, fitting or production meetings as required

Booking DHL and Australia Post Parcels as required

Preparing customer proposals

Assisting with design and print graphics as required

Things we are looking for are:

A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar design role, particularly working in the fashion landscape.

Advanced Illustrator skills

Organised and self-motivated

Comfortable being in-front of the camera and apart of our social media/marketing strategy

An Eye for detail and accuracy is essential

Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics & fit

Please ensure a portfolio of work is ready showing your expertise in range plans and technical fashion drawing. You may be required to complete a basic task (under 30 minutes) if shortlisted into the interview stage to ensure you are able to draw fashion technical sketches.
