National Disability Insurance Agency
Posted 9 days ago
Our participants, Our people, Our purpose
Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce and Integrity Capability Division drives the Agency’s integrity response and capability uplift as well as the coordination of the whole-of-government multi-agency Fraud Fusion Taskforce (FFT).
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce and Integrity Capability Division (the Division) has several APS5 Integrity Officer opportunities across the following Branches of the Division:
- The FFT Capability Branch leads the overall governance and management of the multi-agency FFT. The Branch delivers integrity capability uplifts across the NDIA and FFT through strategic prevention initiatives, driving whole of government integrity law reform, and co-designing these with the disability community and advocates.
- The Fraud Investigations Branch investigates and responds to internal and external fraud against the NDIS. Our Branch also represents the operational part of the Fraud Fusion Taskforce (FFT). The Branch includes the Scheme Debt team, which manages the raising and recovery of debts identified through integrity activities and administrative functions.
- The Intelligence and Analytics Branch collects intelligence about integrity concerns, including through tip-offs and other sources, to develop risk profiles, and ensure that these are acted upon.
- The Scalable Responses Branch implements a range of innovative and dynamic responses to risk profiles generated in the Intelligence and Analytics Branch. We use a range of levers including planning, policy, communications, payment integrity and provider-focused actions to close integrity gaps in the NDIS.
The position is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The APS5 Integrity Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
