Job description:
$29.57 per hour + salary packaging | State Wide Equipment Program - Administration Officer
Permanent Full Time position - 80 hours a fortnight including a monthly ADO
About the Role
The State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP), funded by the Department of Health, provides subsidy funding to help frail aged individuals and those with permanent or long-term disabilities access aids, equipment, and modifications. This ensures they maintain their safety, independence, and community participation while supporting families and carers. As an Administration Officer, you will provide a high level of administrative support, processing applications and ensuring the service achieves its aims.
Key Responsibilities
• Process funding requests in line with relevant guidelines
• Check eligibility of consumers for the subsidy program
• Liaise with consumers, Allied Health Practitioners, and suppliers
• Manage incoming phone queues and email inboxes
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of all applications
• Maintain a high standard of customer service
Skills & Experience
• Competent in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Previous experience as an Administration Officer
• Strong customer service skills
• Empathy for consumers and understanding their needs
• Proactive and positive approach to work
