About the role
As Visitor Services Coordinator you will be part of the Ipswich Art Gallery team and responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Gallery's front of house operations. Your main focus will be on creating a highly effective team that delivers exceptional visitor experience, by increasing visitor access and assisting visitor understanding and enjoyment of the Gallery.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage, roster, train, and recruit Visitor Services staff for top-notch customer service
- Coordinate offsite activities, exhibitions, and events
- Oversee daily management of the Gallery Shop
- Evaluate visitor engagement using industry knowledge
- Ensure effective outcomes in a dynamic environment, maintaining communication between front and back of house teams

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Visual Arts, Art History and/or Art Education and/or substantial experience
- A passion in delivering exceptional levels of visitor service
- Highly developed communication skills, forward-planning capabilities, and agile turnaround times
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current Blue Card or the ability to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate desirable

This is a permanent, full-time, level 5 position with a salary commencing at $97,827 plus 12.5% superannuation.
