Senior Civil Engineer needed within the Asset Management team of large State Gov Organisation!

Your new company

Your new company is a large state government with an office based in Nerang which is responsible for the planning, design, construction and maintenance of state-controlled road and transport infrastructure within the South Coast Region.

Your new role

In your new role you will be responsible for:

• Engineering degree or equivalent which is assessed by Engineers Australia
• Open driver's licence and white card required
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Current RPEQ registration or ability to obtain

• Conduct assessments of road infrastructure and prepare reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular problems.
• Develop asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole-of-life costs.
• Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of program outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components, and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
• Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard for both Transport and Main Roads and clients.
• Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities.
• In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff that would include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
