About the Role
This position will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in the field of food technology and providing students with valuable skills for their future endeavours. As a Food Technology Teacher, your core responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons in food technology, catering to the needs of students at various levels.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the school's educational objectives and standards.
Assessing student progress through assignments, exams, and practical demonstrations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Utilising innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience and foster creativity in culinary arts.
Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the food technology department and its extracurricular activities.

Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:
Appropriate teaching qualifications, with an ability to become registered in Victoria as a Teacher;
Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or Australian interstate equivalent;
Proven experience teaching Food Technology;
Attention to deliver engaging lessons that stimulate and educate students
Excellent manner in dealing with staff, students, parents, and general public;
First Aid Certificate; and
Valid driver’s licence.
