Our new Chiropractic Assistants

As we look ahead to an exciting 2025, we are looking to add to our Balance family. In this role, no two days are the same, and you’ll need to be ready to jump in wherever needed from assisting patients to supporting our team behind the scenes. You'll help empower, educate and inspire our patients, guiding them on their path to better health. A team player who is adaptable and detail-oriented will thrive in this role. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, stay flexible and handle the challenges and variety that come with a fast-paced practice.

This role would be best suited to two candidates seeking flexibility in a permanent part-time role, offering 20 hours per week. You’ll work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, with hours from 6:45am – 1:00pm and 1:45pm – 6:15pm. This is a great opportunity for those who want a balance between work and personal time, with the possibility of picking up extra shifts on Saturdays or covering for colleagues on annual leave or when needed.

Your Duties

As our Chiropractic Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high level administrative support to our patients and practitioners by:

  • Owning our front desk, being a warm, inviting and smiling face that welcomes our patients to the clinic;
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails in accordance with patient’s needs;
  • Managing our patient flow in conjunction with our clinic’s CRM by booking, rescheduling and cancelling appointments as and when required;
  • Processing payments via EFTPOS for HICAPS, Medicare and DVA;
  • Assisting our practitioners with tasks including setting up our onsite X-Ray Machine, posture screening tools and reviews;
  • Working independently as well as in a team environment, with the ability to learn, grow and flourish into your new role;
  • Completing daily checklists with accuracy to ensure all responsibilities are met throughout the day.;
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming environment for our patients.

Key Attributes:

  • Previous administrative experience within the allied health industry is preferred (but not essential);
  • A naturally empathetic, caring individual with a passion for health and wellness;
  • A natural communicator (written and verbal), with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and computer literacy;
  • A creative problem-solver with the ability to thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic environment;
  • An effective time manager, with the ability to ensure work is completed by identifying urgent tasks.
