The opportunity
Taminmin College is looking for enthusiastic and committed educators to become part of our vibrant team in Humpty Doo, Northern Territory. We have several permanent and fixed-term teaching positions available in various subjects; PE/Outdoor Education, English, Science/Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Digital Technologies and Math, for Years 7 to 12.
Key responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons to secondary school students.
Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their academic growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
Contribute to the overall educational and extracurricular programs of the college.
Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the department and other stakeholders as required.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.
What we're looking for
Relevant teaching qualification and registration to practice in the Northern Territory.
Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject matter expertise and a passion for education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and supporting their holistic development.
Available to commence January 2025 - Term 1.

All applicants must be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory and have a current Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) from SAFE NT.
All applicants completing initial teacher education (ITE) courses after 1 July 2016 are also required to provide proof of successful completion of the national Literacy and Numeracy Test for ITE students.
