Our client, a large Federal government department based in Surry Hills, NSW, requires an experienced Chief Developer for a 12 + 12 month contract.

Duties

• Develop and guide develop Salesforce, Vlocity, and MuleSoft platforms ensuring alignment with best practices and SDP's principles and objectives.
• Establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and implement governance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure and compliant solutions,
• Lead and mentor chapter teams in the respective technologies, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing to enhance skills and technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with other technical leads to define and refine the technical strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure seamless integration across Salesforce, MuleSoft, Vlocity systems.

Essential criteria

• Proven experience as a software developer with a track record of leading development teams and delivering complex projects; experience in building team capability, establishing/refining and influencing processes/practices.
• Strong expertise in Salesforce Vlocity components, including OmniScript, DataRaptor, and Integration Procedures.
• Proficient in Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools.
• Experience working with OOP, frameworks & design patterns and building & working with integration (example REST APIs, Platform Events).
• Possess high level Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Omnistudio Developer/Consultant, Salesforce Architect Domain).

Desirable criteria

• Have successfully implemented minimum 5+ Salesforce platform-based CRM projects using an agile methodology.
