Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking to engage a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

The Infrastructure and Application Automation Engineer will use their in-depth knowledge ICT infrastructure and applications to provide efficiencies through the automation of deployment and day-to-day activities. They will be required to work closely with business areas to ensure the provisioning of a robust infrastructure and application capability to the business that is in line with vendor requirements and departmental coding best practices.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support automation of ICT Infrastructure and applications;
• Develop, maintain and support the department's vRealize Automation (vRA) platform;
• Create blueprints and workflows that aim to improve efficiencies of daily operational tasks;
• Develop code / scripts in-line with departmental standards.

Technical skills

• Experience developing complex workflows in VMWare Orchestrator;
• Proficient in Javascript, Powershell, Bash and Python;
• Experience in the delivery of PaaS, IaaS and XaaS through VMWare vRealize Automation;
• Experience supporting, maintaining and developing the VMWare vRealize Automation toolset.
