We are recruiting for this specialist Law Firm based right in the heart of the CBD and require an experienced billing Paralegal ideally from a Commercial Litigation background. This role is NOT suitable for those wishing to leapfrog their career into the legal profession. We need someone who LOVES being the back-end support, the right-hand person and who wants to stick with this Firm long term. You will be supporting 3 x different personalities, so you need to have a flexible, accommodating, friendly and easy-going nature with a trustworthy disposition and ability to just get the job done.
THE ROLE

• Overseeing all legal administration and ensuring a constant smooth workflow
• Diary management
• Liaising with clients
• Expected billable hours (3.5 hours)
• Conduct legal research, prepare case summaries and assist with drafting documents and correspondence
• Proofread legal documents, court filings and briefs to Counsel
• Manage all court filing responsibilities
• Liaise with external stakeholders and external parties
• Assisting with any administrative and software related issues
• Billings and invoicing
• Provide general support to other teams when their Paralegal is away

ABOUT YOU

• You have at least 3-5 years’ experience as a billing Paralegal
• You have strong legal drafting and research abilities
• You have commercial litigation and/or construction experience
• You are extremely organised, switched on and proactive
• You have high common sense, can pushback where needed and manage conflicting priorities whilst keeping cool, calm and collected
• You have strong relationship building skills and can liaise on all levels

• This role is paying $100K + super
• Discretionary bonus based on billings
• 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
