Our client is a highly successful and long-established Steel fabrication business with modern, purpose-built premises in Maddington. This is an on-site position, working within a great team on multiple projects, giving you an opportunity to demonstrate your excellent skills, your attention to detail and your ability to work as part of a busy, professional team.

A generous salary up to about $150,000 plus super (depending on skills and experience) is on offer plus a 38 hour week with an early finish on Fridays. Work in exceptional, new premises with like-minded people in a friendly and positive environment.

We are seeking an experienced Draftsperson with a structural design or drafting background and possibly with Cad detailing experience to manage a wide range of tasks within the workshop.

The role requires you to be able to complete the following tasks:

• Have advanced skills with Tekla Structures Software. This is essential
• Be able to read and interpret Structural and Architectural drawings and all relevant specifications
• Create detailed models of structural steel and other building materials and all necessary drawings, NC and list files
• Understand AS1100 requirements with relation to structural detailing
• Specific drawing types include general arrangement drawings, connection details, fabrication drawings and erection drawings

To be successful in this role you would be required to stay up to date with the latest industry standards and techniques. You would be expected to manage timelines and deadlines effectively and be able to troubleshoot and solve any problems as they arise.
