About the Opportunity

The Digital Health Lead is responsible for leading digital health and data initiatives that support the sustainability of the Northern Territory’s primary health care sector. The role leads on the design and development of digital health solutions to strengthen the delivery of primary health care in the context of limited capacity, geographic challenges and ongoing workforce shortages. The position will need to understand current trends in digital health technologies, national and local digital health strategies and the impact of health professional shortages in the NT. The position will be required to work collaboratively at a local and national level to identify and trial initiatives that improve the capacity of the local primary health care sector through innovative service models and emerging technological opportunities. The Digital Health Lead will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of initiatives for feasibility, cultural appropriateness, cost effectiveness and benefits to the heath sector.

The position will also be responsible for developing sector intelligence including the collection, collation and analysis of primary health care data to inform strategy and equip service delivery functions with the tools and knowledgebase to inform quality improvement.

If you have the following skills and experience, we’d love to chat:

  • Strong project development and analysis skills and demonstrated success in an equivalent role.
  • A working knowledge of current and emerging digital health technologies or experience with digital solutions from a similar industry.
  • Experience in the management of complex data sets and analytical analysis.
  • Ability to research issues, analyse and formulate recommendations, implement decisions, and review outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients, partners and stakeholders in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality written documentation (information and resource material) within specified timeframes, and when required present this information in public forums and information sessions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, delivering and evaluating strategic projects, with demonstrated success in an equivalent role.
  • Current or previous experience as a health professional, with working knowledge of the primary health care sector. Experience in data management including, collection, collation and analysis to inform strategic direction and evaluation efforts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of primary healthcare challenges in the NT is highly desirable.
