St Joseph's Catholic School, Mount Isa is a co-educational school offering Prep to Year 6. Established in 1932 by the Sisters of St Joseph, today the school is a vibrant, multicultural learning community renowned as one of Mount Isa's finest schools for academic, sporting and cultural excellence. St Joseph's Catholic School has a state of the art library and an indoor sport and performing arts building. We provide students with specialist teaching in Music, Drama, Instrumental Music, Physical Education, Science, Environmental Education and Cultural Studies.

Mount Isa is Western Queensland’s largest township, it is a vibrant multicultural city, a regional hub for business and is surrounded by a number of natural wonders, all within short driving distances. As a Townsville Catholic Education (TCE) teacher, you will be eligible for our Incentive Payments Remote Area Staff Scheme (IPRASS).

About the role

St Joseph's Catholic School, Mount Isa is seeking experienced and dedicated Specialist Primary Teacher, specialising in subjects such as art, music and LOTE, HPE, while also performing Internal Relief as required. This role is a Full Time, Permanent position commencing 21 April 2025.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
