The opportunity

City Discount Tyres Osborne Park is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Osborne Park, Western Australia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of our busy tyre, wheels and suspensions store.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with the effective management of store operations, including inventory control, customer service, and financial reporting
• Overseeing the work of technicians and ensuring all tyre, wheel and suspension services are completed to the highest standard
• Providing exceptional customer service and troubleshooting any customer issues that arise
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, ensuring all relevant health and safety protocols are followed
• Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of store personnel
• Deputising for the Store Manager in their absence and contributing to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a similar Assistant Store Manager or supervisory role within the automotive industry, preferably in the tyre, wheels or suspension services sector
• Strong technical knowledge of tyre, wheel, and suspension systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both customers and team members
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A current driver's licence and the ability to operate a forklift (or the willingness to obtain the necessary certification)
