A great opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Ross Island, Townsville

The Trade Assistant will be required to support the marine maintenance operations, with a diverse range of tasks associated with the services and repairs to the Defence Assets.

About the Role

• Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop
• Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks
• Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner
• Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do so

About You

• Hold a current Driver's License (C class, manual, open)
• Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Additional experience would also be highly desirable;
• Following tickets would be highly advantageous:

- Confined Space
- Working at Heights
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) upto 11m
- High Risk Work License (HRWL) with competencies in Forklift

• Computer Literacy using Microsoft office products (especially Excel)

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
