About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at FAF Onsite Machines Pty Ltd in Perth, Western Australia or our Melbourne, Victoria development wing. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining insitu machining electromechanical systems that are vital to our operations. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and integrating electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to create advanced mechatronic systems
• Developing control systems and algorithms to optimise the performance of our machines and equipment
• Troubleshooting and maintaining existing mechatronic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Providing technical support and guidance to our production and maintenance teams
• Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in the field of mechatronics

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field, this job is also open to final year and graduate Engineers
• Proficient in programming and software development, with expertise in PLC, PCB Design & Manufacture, and esp32. Familiar with CAD (Fusion360) is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of work
