About the Role
We are seeking a part time or full time Allied Health Assistant based in the Eastern or South-Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne with experience working with older clients.
We see clients in their homes for physiotherapy, creating exercise programs for their needs. We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to work closely with us to supervise exercise interventions for our clients in order to maximise their health and wellbeing.
This is a remote role, meaning you will travel from your home to see clients, with the flexibility to complete admin at home or on the road.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Establish and build strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with the treating physiotherapist to report any changes in client functional status.
- Carry out effective evidence-based exercise interventions prescribed by the treating physiotherapist.
- Be able to work remotely and autonomously, managing your own schedule.
- Maintain excellent patient records using our practice management software.
Qualifications and prerequisites:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Current First Aid and CPR qualification.
- Valid Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Driver's License and own vehicle.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination, or willingness to obtain.
- Proof of Influenza Vaccination, or willingness to obtain.
- A positive attitude that upholds Home Active Physiotherapy’s values.
