About the role
Join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals at Active Allied Health Australia Pty Ltd, a leading provider of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in Melbourne, Victoria. As a Physiotherapist, you will be crucial in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to our diverse NDIS and Home care package (HCP) client base, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
What you'll be doing
Community:
As a mobile Allied Health clinician—physiotherapist—you will provide services to Home Care Package and NDIS clients in the community care setting, Supporting those in our community who wish to remain independent at home.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualised treatment plans for patients, NDIS participants and HCP clients.
- Implementing therapy programs for various conditions, including neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic disease and pain management.
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and client education.
- Providing fall prevention strategies and mobility aid prescriptions (e.g., walkers, orthotics, wheelchairs).
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans for NDIS and HCP clients accordingly.
- Maintain detailed client records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational policies.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest physiotherapy practices.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a clinical physiotherapy role, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and the multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Flexible to drive, must have a full Victorian driver's license, and must have a reliable car.
