A leading Financial Services provider is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong Data Centre and VXLAN / EVPN expertise to join their team on an initial twelve month engagement.

Joining a stable, collaborative BAU / operations team, you will be responsible for providing level three / four support to a complex data centre environment. This will include incident response, monitoring as well as triaging, troubleshooting and configuring within tight timeframes.

This team also have responsibility for the delivery of small projects however the main focus is BAU and operations, and you will be required to be on a rotating, 24/7 support roster (one week every four weeks).

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vendor certifications (minimum CCNP certification)
• Demonstrated network engineering experience gained within large, complex environments
• Advanced knowledge and experience supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting large data centre networks including Cisco Nexus switches (9K), VXLAN, EVPN, VPC and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and DCNM / NDFC
• Any experience (commercial or self-taught) in scripting / automation in Python is highly regarded
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently as required

This is a Sydney based role which will require you to be in the office at least two - three days per week.
