Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the newest of TMA's on the market to ensure the safety of road workers and construction sites. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Truck Mounted Attenuators in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices as required.
• Monitor traffic conditions and input adjustments of traffic control measures where needed.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of TMA vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with team members and managers.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
• Operate Truck Mounted Attenuators ticket (essential).
• Knowledge of traffic management and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Complete Vehicle Pre-Start Checks and Daily Diaries as required.
• Load and unload vehicles with signage & equipment.
• Implement and monitor the on-site operation of Traffic Management Plans & Traffic Guidance Schemes, to all required safety and quality standards.
• Monitor traffic behavior and control traffic flow, as well as the flow of pedestrians and cyclists, to ensure the safety of maintenance workers, on-site work crews, and members of the public at all times.
• Setup Stop/Slow signage and/or Stop Slow controls for safe traffic flow.
• Accurately follow instructions from the State Operations Manager, On-Site Foreman, Inspectors, and Auditors.
• Complete and submit all relevant paperwork for job sites, including safety inductions as required.
• Perform all tasks associated with Traffic Management for Metro and Regional job sites and events.
• Complete site hazard assessments via SWMS and check for suitability of control measures for the job site.
• Promptly report any on-site hazards and near misses.
• Use the Traffic Management Scheduling system – Traffio – to submit forms and dockets, as required.
• Use a two-way radio to communicate and coordinate with team members effectively.

Required Skills & Qualities:

• Current BWTM & TC (required), WTM, and/or AWTM Accreditation.
• Active WA Driver’s License (Manual preferred).
• Excellent communication.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to help out where able.
• Qualifications such as tickets to drive a TMA-O and a current First Aid Qualification and additional skills, such as mechanical aptitude, will be highly regarded.
• ANY current inductions (for example: Water Corporation, Western Power, etc), will be highly regarded.
