We have a (Permanent) Senior AWS Data Engineer role available.

In this role you will expand and optimise the Data & Analytics platform.

You will drive the ingestion, transformation, and provisioning of data, empowering our Insights teams to extract actionable insights efficiently.

Your expertise will not only enhance current capabilities but also foster a culture of data-driven innovation, aligned closely with data governance practices.

Please Note: This role requires strong SQL and DBT Experience (Essential). Deep Understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts is Essential. AWS Redshift experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy optimized, highly available, and reliable data pipelines and architectures using relevant tools.
• Drive business value creation by integrating new data platform toolsets into an innovation pipeline.
• Assemble large, complex structured and unstructured data sets that meet business requirements, ensuring security and governance.
• Update existing data models and metadata repositories for new use cases.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure scalability redesign.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong SQL and DBT Experience (Essential)
• We can consider 1-Year DBT Experience (Minimum)
• 5-8 Years Data Engineering Experience
• Redshift Experience (Preferred)
• Deep understanding of Data/Warehousing Concepts (Essential)
• Experience in AWS Services such as Athena, Redshift, OR Glue (ideal)
• Experience with AWS architecture, technologies, and services and establish recommendations for new AWS services or solutions.
• Strong understanding of Data & Analytics concepts and technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes and ETL.
• Deep knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Marts, and Metadata Management best practices.
• 5-8 years of experience in Modern Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and Data Engineering, with strong Agile delivery skills and a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field.
