The Position

The eCommerce Web Developer is responsible for the rebuild and design of WordPress websites for three retail stores, ensuring a strong online presence that focuses on user experience, security and seamless integration with payment gateways and other systems. You will be required to liaise with each of the Store Managers and assist the General Manager with IT requirements.

This is a full-time position based onsite at Mitre 10 Goulburn.

Responsibilities

• Update/rebuild existing WordPress website for three retail stores, tailoring the platform to meet the specific needs of the business
• Optimisation of website for search engine visibility and to attract more traffic
• Setup ecommerce functionality
• Create & maintain product catalogue
• Collaborate with the three Retail Store Managers to create successful online stores
• Assist existing IT team with internal projects
• Assist General Manager with IT requirements

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or related field
• Strong web development, WordPress and networking experience is essential
• Sound knowledge of retail functions and requirements
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues as they arise
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload
