About the role

We are seeking a doctor/s to provide medical care and support to our semi-professional sports teams based in Western Sydney, as well as our private schools based in northern and eastern Sydney.

This is a contract role that will involve covering sport matches to manage associated injuries sustained. The successful candidate/s will be supported on the day by physiotherapists and on-call experienced doctors (Chief Medical Officer for Manly Sea Eagles Pathways, and Head of Medical Operations for 2026 Women's Asian Cup).

What you'll be doing

• Providing day medical coverage as a doctor for sport games which will generally constitute management of acute traumatic injuries and concussion assessments
• Occasionally provide pre-match analgesia/optimisation for athletes (semi-professional setting)
• Liaising with our on-call senior doctors if you require assistance
• Being present on the side-line to watch the game/s

What we're looking for

• Medical practitioner with general registration (i.e. can be a resident medical officer)
• Experience in suturing and analgesia optimisation
• Accreditation in providing basic life support, and ideally advanced life support (or equivalent)
• Skills in splinting, blocks of superficial joints (e.g. ACJ) and joint reduction preferred but training can be provided
• Ideally the ability to commit at least somewhat regularly to a designated team
