What You Will Be Working On

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll focus on the most rewarding aspects of consulting engineering while an exclusive offshore team handles the routine modeling and drafting tasks. Your expertise will be directed toward high-value activities that showcase your technical abilities and client relationship skills.
You'll lead projects across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, education, and community-focused developments. Recent projects include five towers in Teneriffe, waterfront multi-use redevelopments, university buildings, specialized laboratory facilities, hotels, theme park installations, and affordable housing initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting special reviews and developing concept designs through to full documentation
• Providing expert electrical engineering advice directly to clients
• Overseeing lighting calculations and electrical system designs
• Reviewing work completed by junior engineers and offshore team members
• Building and nurturing client relationships that generate ongoing work opportunities
• Contributing to the firm's growth as Brisbane's construction market expands toward the 2032 Olympics

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful We're looking for an entrepreneurial electrical engineer who values autonomy but appreciates the power of collaboration. Your technical expertise is important, but equally valuable is your ability to communicate effectively with clients and mentor team members.
You'll need:

• A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• At least 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant time in client-facing roles
• Australian experience, preferably within a consulting environment
• A demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional networks and win new work
• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in proactively identifying and addressing potential issues
• Technical expertise across various electrical systems for commercial and residential applications
• The ability to mentor junior engineers and effectively train and develop offshore team members
