Founded in 1952, Paspaley is a diverse group of companies. Whilst its core business is pearling, including pearl production, wholesale and retail, it also has extensive involvement in the aviation industry, the rural industry and commercial property.
Our pearling operation is extensive and spans coastal regions from Exmouth, WA around to the north of Darwin, NT. Our pearl farms are positioned amongst some of the world's most spectacular coastline and unique marine environments.
We seek an experienced, reliable and qualified mechanic to work as part of our Engineering Team to assist with the refit and servicing of our pearling vessels and associated machinery.

What you will be doing:

• Performing routine maintenance, refit and servicing on the aluminum barges (AB's)
• Maintenance of onsite machinery and power generation equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, electrical faults, and hydraulic problems
• Liaising with operations teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational

What we're looking for:

• Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related automotive trade
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Current driver's license and willingness to work in a remote location
• Australian Resident with full work working rights

Desirable but not essential:

• Hold a current High Risk Forklift Ticket
• Hold a Construction White Card
• Hold a Confined Workspace qualification
• Hold a Work at Heights qualification

Marine experience an advantage

This position is Broome based, but may require you to remote at our pearling sites if requested.
