About the role
HISTOLAB is seeking a skilled Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Kew East, Victoria. This is a full-time role participating in a rotating roster.

What you'll be doing

• Participating in all aspects of routine histology including immunohistochemistry and surgical cut up.
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Performing equipment user checks.
• Maintaining equipment and reagent records.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Complying with all relevant health, safety and quality assurance regulations.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor of Applied Science (Laboratory Medicine) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a histology laboratory, preferably with experience in cut up.
• Strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage work and personal priorities.
• Experience in problem-solving.
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
